Netflix announces 29 new films to be released in 2020

Netflix has published a list of all the films it has scheduled for release in 2020 ... so far. The streaming company is heading into awards season on a high, with no fewer than 17 nods in the Golden Globes . The ceremony takes place on Monday, January 6 , and kicks off six weeks of awards ceremony glitz and glamour in the UK and US. On Saturday, January 4, Netflix released synopses for all 29 films it has announced for the year ahead. The list includes Will Ferrell comedies, a Taylor Swift biopic, a Spike Lee drama and a movie produced by former US president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle. Plus, there will be sequels of some of their biggest hits from 2018 and 2019, including To All the Boys I've Loved Before and The Kissing Booth. Elijah (Athie) must balance his dream of becoming a master sommelier with his father's expectations that he take over the family’s Memphis barbecue joint. Release date: TBC Director Ben Wheatley's adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel of the same name (the book was adapted by Alfred Hitchcock in 1940).
