Hamilton is getting the movie treatment. The beloved Broadway musical has been filmed for the big screen and is set to be released in the UAE on Saturday, only 24 hours after it is released globally.
The filmed version of the Broadway hit is to be brought to the Emirates on OSN Streaming, as part of its Disney+ Originals partnership agreement.

Last week, OSN revealed that Hamilton will be shown in the Emirates in a series of tweets, without announcing the exact date.
"We're delighted to announce that Hamilton will indeed be available with us," OSN Support tweeted last Thursday.
OSN signed a deal with Disney in early April, getting access to the Disney+ Originals catalogue for Middle Eastern viewers. It has not, however, opened up all of Disney+ content, and will not necessarily release titles in line with global Disney+ releases.
The Disney+ content has been added to OSN's box and streaming services.
What you need to know about the 'Hamilton' movie
Originally, the big-screen version of the Broadway hit by Lin-Manuel Miranda was officially slated to come to cinemas in 2021. It was announced in May, however, that the release date had been brought forward by a year.
Last Monday, the official trailer was released, much to the delight of fans.
The new release is a recording of a live performance of a show at New York's Richard Rodgers Theatre, and it features the show's original Broadway cast, including Miranda as Alexander Hamilton, Jonathan Groff as King George, and Renee Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler. The filmed performance has been helmed by the show's director, Thomas Kail.
"I'm so proud of how beautifully Tommy Kail has brought Hamilton to the screen. He's given everyone who watches this film the best seat in the house," Miranda said of the release in May.
"I'm so grateful to Disney and Disney+ for reimagining and moving up our release to July 4 weekend of this year, in light of the world turning upside down. I'm so grateful to all the fans who asked for this, and I'm so glad that we're able to make it happen. I'm so proud of this show. I can't wait for you to see it."

Haemoglobin disorders explained
Thalassaemia is part of a family of genetic conditions affecting the blood known as haemoglobin disorders.
Haemoglobin is a substance in the red blood cells that carries oxygen and a lack of it triggers anemia, leaving patients very weak, short of breath and pale.
The most severe type of the condition is typically inherited when both parents are carriers. Those patients often require regular blood transfusions - about 450 of the UAE's 2,000 thalassaemia patients - though frequent transfusions can lead to too much iron in the body and heart and liver problems.
The condition mainly affects people of Mediterranean, South Asian, South-East Asian and Middle Eastern origin. Saudi Arabia recorded 45,892 cases of carriers between 2004 and 2014.
A World Health Organisation study estimated that globally there are at least 950,000 'new carrier couples' every year and annually there are 1.33 million at-risk pregnancies.
