Charlie Hunnam has revealed he battled Covid-19 earlier this year, as he shared fears he had contracted the virus again for a second time.
The British actor told Jimmy Kimmel this weekend that he was diagnosed with the coronavirus "very early on" in the pandemic, but only suffered mild symptoms.
"It wasn't particularly acute. I just lost my sense of taste and smell for about 10 days and had a little bit of fatigue," the King Arthur star told the chat show host in an interview filmed remotely.
"I was grinding up the coffee and realised I couldn’t smell at all."
Hunnam, 40, also revealed he was suffering flu-like symptoms during the interview, broadcast on Friday, November 6.
He told Kimmel he had "a little bit of a persistent fever, a dry cough, a little bit of fatigue", fearing it "could be Covid-19".
However, the Sons of Anarchy star added that he had taken a test, which had returned a negative result.
"I could be unfairly jumping to conclusions, but it feels consistent [with Covid-19 symptoms]," Hunnam said. "This feels very, very different [to what I had earlier this year]. This feels much more like flu.
"I don't know how I would have gotten sick again, because I have not left the house in six months, other than to take my new cat to the vet."
Hunnam is the latest famous face to reveal he has caught Covid-19; stars including Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Khloe Kardashian have all opened up about their experiences with the coronavirus.
Earlier this month, it was also revealed that Prince William had contracted Covid-19 in April.
How Filipinos in the UAE invest
A recent survey of 10,000 Filipino expatriates in the UAE found that 82 per cent have plans to invest, primarily in property. This is significantly higher than the 2014 poll showing only two out of 10 Filipinos planned to invest.
Fifty-five percent said they plan to invest in property, according to the poll conducted by the New Perspective Media Group, organiser of the Philippine Property and Investment Exhibition. Acquiring a franchised business or starting up a small business was preferred by 25 per cent and 15 per cent said they will invest in mutual funds. The rest said they are keen to invest in insurance (3 per cent) and gold (2 per cent).
Of the 5,500 respondents who preferred property as their primary investment, 54 per cent said they plan to make the purchase within the next year. Manila was the top location, preferred by 53 per cent.
