Amitabh Bachchan is currently in Bulgaria shooting Ayan Mukerji's trilogy, Brahmastra. And the star seems to have some time on his hands as he has fired off numerous tweets and Instagram pictures from the set. His latest tweet said that he had managed to get the cast, who have been filming in the Eastern European country since early 2018, Indian food.
Brahmastra, produced by Karan Johar, will star Bachchan along with Ranbir Kapoor, Nagarjuna and Alia Bhatt. Although not much has been revealed about the film, we do know that it is a fantasy adventure trilogy that is set for release August 15, 2019 (Indian Independence Day).
This Instagram post shows the star curled up trying to stay warm, while giving another clue as to where filming is taking place - "beating the cold on the Volga." The Volga is Europe's largest river, and it flows through Central Russia, so perhaps some of the movie is being shot there?
Still feeling the cold, Bachchan Instagrammed another picture of himself with the cast.
He appears to be working hard too though, posting this picture on Twitter after a night shoot.
"Off to work in the rain and slush and till the morning .. back now at 3 am .. but the work is wondrous, and the care pre eminent .. "Brahmastra" in Bulgaria .."

What the law says
Micro-retirement is not a recognised concept or employment status under Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations (as amended) (UAE Labour Law). As such, it reflects a voluntary work-life balance practice, rather than a recognised legal employment category, according to Dilini Loku, senior associate for law firm Gateley Middle East.
“Some companies may offer formal sabbatical policies or career break programmes; however, beyond such arrangements, there is no automatic right or statutory entitlement to extended breaks,” she explains.
“Any leave taken beyond statutory entitlements, such as annual leave, is typically regarded as unpaid leave in accordance with Article 33 of the UAE Labour Law. While employees may legally take unpaid leave, such requests are subject to the employer’s discretion and require approval.”
If an employee resigns to pursue micro-retirement, the employment contract is terminated, and the employer is under no legal obligation to rehire the employee in the future unless specific contractual agreements are in place (such as return-to-work arrangements), which are generally uncommon, Ms Loku adds.
