Every Saturday until the weather gets too hot, Bay Square in Dubai’s Downtown district is transformed into the Art Square. Free classes are held for up to 200 students, who get to practice their art skills and share tips under the guidance of 10 teachers. They are open for anyone aged 10 and over and it is a really great opportunity to get involved in the art scene.
This weekend, the classes are being held by Kelly Seymour and Ramy El Zaghawy. Seymour, has a background as a teacher, a head teacher and an artist and will be showing participants how to make abstract drawings and paintings by encouraging her students to break out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way. El Zaghawy, who is Egyptian but born and raised in Fujairah, will be letting people into the art of spray painting and showing them how to master this difficult tool.
The classes take place in Bay Square, Business Bay, Dubai from 10am-1pm. For more info click here
