Creative workshop to take place in Tashkeel, Dubai

In the lead up to the Journey to Japan, the group of young creative people who will travel to Japan in November, Art Jameel in partnership with the Crossway Foundation have curated a schedule of workshops led by Kuwaiti visual artist Monira Al Qadiri in Dubai, Kuwait City, Jeddah and Riyadh.

On September 3, Tulip Hazbar, Crossway Foundation alumna, will lead a three hour programme called Screenshots Screamshots: Zine-making Workshop at Tashkeel, Dubai. This will explore the relationship we have with the screen and independent written visuals that exist physical space. Hazbar will also explore visual interpretations of screenshots captured from a Japanese film and construct potential narratives between them. Participants will then use these new ideas to create pocket-sized zines.
