Scuba divers have retrieved the remaining parts of the crashed Italian trainer M-346 from the sea bed, concluding search operations in the Arabian Gulf, officials said yesterday.
After weeks of searching the waters near the Palm Deira, the divers were able to retrieve the entire wreckage on Saturday, said Lt Col Francesco Tinagli, the defence attache at the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The debris will be sent back to Italy to determine the cause of the November 18 crash.
The crew ejected from the aircraft when returning home from the Dubai Airshow.
